This post took a bit of extra time to get organized, ’cause yeah, I’ll admit, I was busy wiping away some happy tears from my cheeks.

I absolutely love hanging out with Monnyca and Ryan, and now too, their precious little one. I love watching their family grow and I’m so unbelievably happy and honored they have invited me to be a part of it in these special moments. I can’t even begin to explain how it makes me feel but it’s something like a big ol’ crazy-warm-fuzzy wrapping around me. I imagine it would feel something like a big, furry hug from a Wookie. How could that not feel fabulous???!!

Before this shoot I last spent some time with Monnyca creating a collection of baby bump images while Ryan was away on a year long tour in Iraq. Enduring through this hard time, they were reunited when eventually Ryan finished up his duties and arrived home this past fall. And not too long afterwards, I drove out to their house for an afternoon of fun and pictures.

I love these images so much because I know how long they had been apart and seeing them all together finally is just the best feeling ever. And Ryan, he is the most gentle and loving of dads I have ever seen. He absolutely adores his little boy to no ends. He is my hero.

As Steve pressed some tasty Blue Mountain coffee for all of us to enjoy, we watched Willie run around with his new bone in total bliss until he had tuckered himself out.

It was a great start to my Sunday.

After about an hour I had everything renamed and organized. In one folder I found some happy treasures,,, the Bergtedts.

I’ve known the Bergstedts for a couple of years now and absolutely adore them all. They always invite me to the park and zoo and I’m always more than happy to go hang out. I look forward to the weekly high-fives when they come in to visit me at work and I love hearing about what they’ve been up to. They always bring a smile to my face and, well, simply put, my life is enriched by them.

A couple of weeks ago I spent part of a warm afternoon hanging out with everyone to get Talon’s landmark two year pictures, and once again, I had a blast.

It’s pretty awesome seeing Talon grow up through my lens and I get a kick each time I visit. Best of all? He now gives high-fives! Love it.

Thank you Kassie, Jimmy and little Jenasee for all the smiles, laughter and love. And I mean that. It’s in these moments I am totally in my happy place and my heart gets all warm and fuzzy.
