It was pretty danged chilly this morning. Yet I arose at the butt-crack of dawn, from my oh-so-warm-bed and deep slumber, to brave the biting wind and bone penetrating cold to make my way on down to Rock Creek Coffee Roasters. Ok, maybe it was more like nine. But none-the-less, it was a-freakin’ cold out!
It was well worth it. I mean really, have you had their coffee?? Oh, let me tell you how I desire it,,,,yes, I desire it, even right now. I’m so bad.
I’m working with owners Joel and Peggy on creating some new imagery for their website and marketing materials, so we met and discussed ideas. I had a wonderful coffee and shot a few frames to get a feel of what they wanted. The full shoot goes down next weekend and, thankfully, it’s supposed to be much warmer out.
On another sweet note,,,,
Over this past year, since launching this new blog, I’ve often felt that I was losing my way as far as shooting and sharing the things that I really love. The everyday stuff. The little things that would often catch my eye and lead me away. I miss exploring the mundane and making it anew in my camera. I miss it dearly. So, that being said, I’m lifting myself from a sloth-like blogging state and am going to renew my love of what I’ve left too far behind. And as I used to have small happy traditions, such as Today Ava, I will begin a new one today.
So, as I sit here tap-tapping away at my keyboard on this frigid Sunday night, wrapped up tight in my favorite heavy quilt, and sipping on bourbon – YES, BOURBON, (I’m plumb fresh out of coffee. How ironic is that?), I bring a little something to hopefully warm your heart and bring a little smile,,,, little pieces of art.
Every Sunday I’ll post a polaroid or two or three and hopefully it will be as fun and exciting for you as it’s going to be for me. HA! We’ll see. I’m so confident, aren’t I?

Beautiful images, with great feel. And yes I am so confident that they will love this look for their website! And I am soooo excited for some today Ava!!!
