Tornado

4

Here are some images from yesterday’s crazy storm that rolled through Billings. It started like any other spring storm, except this time a tornado made an appearance,,,the first one here in nearly fifty years. I had spent most of the afternoon reading a new book when the hail came, and with it the usual hard rain. I thought nothing of it. Within minutes, however, the winds started to really push and the city sirens began blaring. By the time I had gathered up my gear, my street had started to flood and I had to get in my Escape through the passenger door from the curb. These are some of the things I saw in the next hour.

  1. we lived close by metra. we could hear IT like a sound of a jet or like a very noisy train. i didn’t believe it at first until the news showed pictures of the ruins. unbelievable! glad that Outlaws was the night before otherwise this tornado would have made worse scenario in the history.

  2. Geez. Wow, Ronnie, you became a tornado hunter, huh? That looks terrifying. Photo-journalism at its best. Seems like crazy weather is coming down on us regardless the continent! Here we had in the north-west part of the country hails and floods and pouring rain and violent winds too.
