We’ve landed here in Brazil and I think someone has left the heater on! Oh my goodness, it reminds me of Haiti. No doubt about it. Except here there is a jungle just outside my hotel room.
After checking in, the four of us headed out to find a late lunch, but where to go? We basically asked our taxi to take us where the food was good. He dropped us at Bufalo Branco, a Churrascaria, which is a restaurant that serves up grilled meats on a skewer. It also serves up some traditional Portuguese dishes and it’s set up like a big salad bar where you can help yourself to all the fruits, vegetables, pates, and pastes you can think of. I decided I was going for everything I’ve never tried before and that included some sort of small hard boiled egg, some soured onions, soaked potatoes, and miscellaneous soaked or stewed vegetables. At your table, the passadors (waiters) constantly bring out all sorts of different meats for you on a skewer. Some of the meats we ate today included chicken hearts, rump roast, chorizo, bacon wrapped chicken, ribs, and a few more. The absolute best, however, was the warmed and toasted-on-the-grill ball of mozzarella! Oh man! The whole experience was quite fun and filling.
After eating, I took a quick run to the restroom and when I came back out, this is what I saw going on ….. and it needs no commentary by me.
Dorks.
I love working with these guys!

and just because I don’t like to see a post without any comments… I am glad that you are making good friends while enjoying great food!
